MARIN ALPINE TRAIL E1 **PRE ORDER**

Description

The Alpine Trail Aluminum frame features an integrated flip chip system, an adjustable headset, and compatibility with an aftermarket 29-inch rear wheel, giving riders a total of 12 unique geometry configurations. This extensive range of adjustments allows the bike’s handling characteristics to be fine-tuned to suit different riding styles and trail conditions.

The flip chips are designed for quick trailside adjustments using only a 6 mm hex wrench, require no additional parts, and feature laser-etched markings to clearly indicate each position.

Riders who wish to run a mixed-wheel or full 29-inch setup can replace the standard 27.5-inch rear wheel with a 29-inch rear wheel (sold separately). When making this conversion, the seatstay flip chips should also be repositioned to maintain the bike’s intended geometry and suspension performance.

The seatstay pivot flip chips also provide geometry adjustment by altering both the bottom bracket height and chainstay length:

• Low BB / Long Chainstay: 345 mm bottom bracket height / 442 mm chainstay length
• High BB / Short Chainstay: 352 mm bottom bracket height / 435 mm chainstay length

These adjustments allow riders to optimise the bike for different terrain. The low bottom bracket and longer chainstay setting delivers increased stability, cornering confidence, and high-speed composure, while the higher bottom bracket and shorter chainstay setting provides improved ground clearance, quicker handling, and a more playful ride feel on tighter, more technical trails.
